Data stored on your device

DriveCast is designed to work without a DriveCast account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or developer-operated media backend. M3U subscription names, source addresses, channel metadata, favorites, playback preferences, sync settings, and cached playlist information are stored on your device.

When you open artwork, playlists, or media, your device connects directly to the source you selected. That source may receive ordinary network information under its own privacy policy.

Local network, camera, and microphone

The receiver uses the local network to discover and receive supported DLNA or UPnP requests. Automatic audio and video calibration uses the camera and microphone only after you start calibration and grant permission.

Calibration analyzes test flash and sound timing. Raw camera frames and microphone recordings are not added to your media library or uploaded to us. Manual adjustment remains available without those permissions.

Diagnostics and sharing

A small rotating diagnostic log is stored locally. Sensitive URL details and network identifiers are redacted where designed. Logs are never sent automatically; you choose whether to export a log through the iOS share sheet, and the selected destination then applies its own terms.

Purchases, retention, and control

Apple processes App Store purchases and transaction information. DriveCast reads StoreKit entitlement status needed to unlock features but does not receive your full payment details.

Local data remains until you remove it, clear the related setting or log, or uninstall the App, subject to device backups you control. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings. DriveCast does not sell personal information.
